My name is Joshua Tejano and as a Mechanical Engineering student at Long Beach, I have been pursuing this career ever since I entered my very first years of high school. At a very young age, I have always been obsessed with building. LEGO's were probably one of my favorite toys growing up because I enjoyed building.

My love for science has never stopped and I aim at furthering my knowledge and doing more in the field of engineering. MESA has also been a huge part of my life as I spent most of high school in that club. I worked on several projects with other friends and members and competed in competitions as well.

The main source for inspiration came from my father who currently works as an engineer. He has taken me to his office several times and I have seen all the machinery, workers, and activity. It has sort of given me inspiration to become an engineer.
